The Pros Of Tattoos
Tattoos - A Beautiful Form Of Self Expression
Tattoos are a window into the soul. Tattoos are for many, are a form of art through which they can tell their stories. Some will use them to express pride in where they come from such as from the Cara Delevingne and her ‘Made In England’ tattoo and Sean Connery’s ‘Scotland Forever’ tattoo. Some will use them to pay tribute and reverence to the ones most closest to them, like The rocks Polynesian tattoo covering his torso and back telling the story of his family and Rihanna’s tattoo of a Aphrodite, a Greek goddess sprawling underneath her breast that pays homage to her late grandmother.
Tattoos also are used to signify deeper stand points. From quotes that help make you live a certain way, or subjects that have deeper meanings. For example, Rihanna’s gun tattoo which she inked right after coming out of an abusive relationship, which signified no longer, being a victim. And Emma stones tattoo, of bird feet on her wrist to represent the song ‘Blackbird’ which was her mum’s favorite song and was there to symbol her mother’s brave battle against cancer.
Tattoos - The Different Types
If you ever wanted to get a tattoo, now would be the best time! There are so many different types of tattoos that have expanded the realm of tattoos. The hyper realistic 3d tattoos, can make the portrait of your loved one come to life and appear as real as they are, can make your skin seem as though it has been deeply engraved and can create the illusion of a butterfly actually sitting on your shoulders or a spider crawling across your chest!
The white ink tattoos that use a special white ink paste that creates the illusion of the skin being imprinted or stamped with a design. White ink tattoos literally give the impression of tattoos being just a part of your own skin and are great for making a statement, but without making any noise about it. Then you have UV or blacklight tattoos that are invisible in the day and can only be seen under UV light. UV light tattoos make perfect choices for subjects which are illuminated, such as stars, the moon, glow in the light sea creatures. UV light tattoos grant objects the illumination and glow that other tattoos cannot capture.
The cons of tattoos
Tattoos – Not The Easiest Things To Get Rid Of

Depending on the colors, the placement, the size and the way the tattoo was applied will contribute to how effective the removal will be. Black inks are the easiest to remove, while the color green and white are the hardest.
Areas that have high deposits of fats such as the belly, arms, and legs will be the easiest. And how well and how evenly tattoos are linked by the artist will also play a significant part in how effectively tattoos will be removed.
Tattoos – You Put Yourself Out There To Be Judged
Tattoos are a way to express. And you are expressing yourself in a very apparent way. So be prepared to be judged! Even if you choose a relatively sweet subject such as a heart or a bow, there will still be people that will have an opinion about it, so needless to say the reaction that a skull tattoo in dark colors occupying the whole of your arm will invite! Tattoos are associated with rebellion and not something ‘normal’ people generally do. So as soon as someone with a tattoo comes along they maybe placed in the ‘not so normal’ category. On the other hand, there will be others that find you really fascinating and unconventional and will appreciate your uniqueness.
Things To Consider Before Getting Inked
Don’t Go For Huge Tattoos The First Time
Tattoos will stay will you forever and ever and if you not have not had a tattoo before then maybe it would be wise for you not to ink the whole of your torso. Although initially you may like the idea of stunning tattoos sprawling your entire chest, it might start to be a hindrance in some time after that. It’s best to test the waters with decent sized image and then judge whether you can handle larger tattoos.
Try And Avoid Tattoos In Areas That Will Bend Or Expand
Tattoo |
These are also areas which are notoriously painful to ink, elbows and knees, along with hands and feet are nerve filled skin that’s is stretched over bones and tendons with very little fat acting as a cushion, so when the needling is being performing it may strike the bones making it particularly painful.
Another tricky area for tattoos is the very end of your abdomen and the start of your leg. This is because tattoos done in this area will be very different in different positions. For example when you are standing up straight the tattoo will be seen the way you intended it, however when lying down with your legs at various angles the tattoo will lose its shape.
Avoid Making Tattoos Too Conspicuous
Like, maybe having tattoos across your forehead might not be a good idea if it’s the first time your getting inked. The placement of tattoos is of paramount importance so make sure you get inked in a place which you find comfortable. For example as a first tattoo I would avoid areas such as conspicuous areas such as hands, face, where you will not be able to hide it. Good areas would be the upper arms, legs, back, back of neck, where the tattoo can be hidden if need be and are also areas of high fat so when the tattoo is inked less pain will be incurred.
Tattoos are for people who are not being afraid to put themselves out there. They know they are unique and not afraid to show it. There will be many tattoos that will be well suited to you but you must make sure you don’t get inked in the spare of the moment. It needs to be well thought out and something that you really want. Good luck!
